Artsmark and Arts Awards

Kakou is proud to be working in partnership with schools on their Artsmark Award journey.

By supporting Artsmark settings, we’re helping put the arts at the heart of education, inspiring young people to create, experience and participate in high quality arts and culture.

Artsmark can help unlock the potential of children and young people, help to develop character and talent, and increase their knowledge and understanding.

Awarded by Arts Council England, the Artsmark Award helps schools and education settings deliver a high quality arts and cultural education and provides an excellent way to demonstrate this.

Kakou can offer schools the following:

♦ access to high quality, participatory artists and companies (including diverse artists)

♦ creative CPD training for teacher delivered by trained artists

♦ delivery of Arts Award at all five levels (Discover, Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold)

♦ personal progression opportunities for children and young people

♦ community projects/ events that children and young people can access

♦ signpost to creative opportunities locally and regionally for your school

♦ professional in-house skills such as project management, evaluation and fundraising

♦ specialised projects for children and young people in the community (e.g. Festivals, volunteering, etc)

♦ talk and visits in school about career progression in the arts
